Sunday's post on Monday

Not that I was SO busy I couldn't post yesterday, I just didn't feel like it.  I enjoyed an interesting day.  I started out driving over to Mama's for an early Sunday b'fast with her and the boys (Gare & Santino).  Breakfast was good (how can G's homemade biscuits be bad?)& the conversation was just as enjoyable.  Frank skipped it as he preferred to sleep in.  Speaking of Frank:

Arm shot!  Took this picture after church Saturday evening.
Anyway, after b'fast Grandma kept saying how she needed to see my horse trailer & that she'd have to drive out there one day...and I said "Why not today?"  So she did just that and was blown away by how beautiful the LQ is!

Isn't she cute?  The ramp was a "must have" so that she could get in & out of the trailer without having to do the big step up.  Yeah, ramp!!!
After "G" left, I proceeded to do my normal routine with Kramer.  He lunged(this is the way the FEI spells it)just fine, but when I got on him....total brat!  He was made to move forward several times before I could coerse him into the trot.  At the trot, he preferred it to be an up & down motion instead of a forward motion so I had to keep working my legs on his sides for the first 10 or so mins.  Finally, he began moving forward and relaxed.  We continued trotting for another 10 mins and then I asked for the canter...nice!  My goal: to keep him cantering 2x's around the arena without him breaking into a trot.  Eventually, I'd like Kramer to be able to stay at the canter for several times around.  Maybe by March???
While there, it was time for week 3 of "butt shots":

Hmmmmmmmmm...............

Whatcha think?  It appears to me that there is more fullness to his hindquarters.  That's so weird!
